Enhanced Support Measures For Businesses During Phase 2 (Heighten Alert)

To curb the spread of COVID-19 community cases, the government has implemented tighter restrictions on higher-risk activities under P2(HA) from 16 May 2021 to 13 June 2021. Work from home as default. Indoor "mask-off" activities such as dine-in F&B establishments will cease. Activities that are also not allowed during this period includes strenuous indoor exercise class or strenuous individual and group indoor sports, etc.


The government will extend help to those most immediately affected businesses that amount to $800 million.



Supporting Workers and Businesses - Enhanced Job Support Scheme (JSS)

  • 50% JSS Support for affected Gyms, Fitness Studios, Performing Arts Organisations, and Arts Education Centres.

  • 30% JSS Support for retail sector, affected personal care services, museums, art galleries, historical sites, cinemas, indoor playgrounds and other family entertainment centres. (Supermarkets, convenience stores and online retailers are not eligible)


Rental Support for qualifying tenants of commercial properties

  • 0.5 month rental relief cash payout to qualifying tenants - IRAS

  • 1 month rental relief for qualifying tenants of government-owned commercial properties

Privately-owned commercial properties, some landlords have given rental waivers or rebates to support their tenants during this P2(HA) period.
